say what you will, but I loved both assassin’s creed and oblivion. If you really did put the effort into playing Assassins Creed for more than a few hours as you say, the controls get a lot easier, and the story was interesting, even if the plot twist was easy to see coming.
Oblivion was pretty generic as you say, but you have to admire the amount of crap they shoved into it. Most of it was well done, too, although the words not matching up with peoples mouths can be annoying
You mean the controls actually change? or the controller morphs?

I know I hated the stupid ‘twist’, and then the failfuck that was the final fight was just annoying to do. Nevermind about those annoying as piss little sisters.
I hated it too. Go play halflife 2.
I remember when this first came out and everyone couldn’t stop blabbing about how good it was.
That pretty much describes 90% of famous games ever though.
its so trendy now to hate on popular games
Perhaps not the single greatest game ever, but I liked it quite a bit.
Gameplay was repetitive, but the concept and design were sweet. If you want an overrated game, try Assassin’s Creed.
Nice atmosphere, awesome visuals, pretty good story as far as video games go.
Gameplay was lacking.
Dumbed down for the ‘console-tards’.
All in all, worth playing.
Oh shit yeah, Assassin’s Creed was absolute dogshit.
I played it two, maybe three hours before I returned that crap.
Good graphics, but what doesn’t have good these days?
Story? Crap.
Combat? Broken and annoying.
Controls? Also broken and annoying.
AI? You guessed it; broken and annoying.
Gameplay? What gameplay?
Running around jumping off roof tops was fun… It got boring almost before I got fed up with the controls.
While we’re on the subject of over-rated games; Halo and Oblivion.
Oblivion: everything in that game is generic.
Items, spells, characters, dungeons, combat… All completely generic. Copy/pasted over and over again till you just couldn’t give a fuck.
It frustrating too, because they almost had something good there.

Just thought I’d mention that Bioshock has two endings… it depends on how you treat the Little Sisters.
Treating the Little Sisters like shit led to a LOT of creepiness around the end.

I need to play this properly. Get me some achievements.
