Any black hole they could make would evaporate very quickly; it’d take huge amounts of work to make one and keep feeding it enough to offset the loss due to Hawking radiation. Now, turning the entire planet into a clump of strangelets is a possibility, but it hasn’t happened as a result of being smacked with cosmic rays for 4.5 billion years, so I’m figuring we’re OK…
Making black holes? Thats what the new one is for. =D
I often find myself wondering what it would be like if a black hole entered earth’s atmosphere. Its not pretty. First our entire atmosphere will be sucked up. Fortunately there is enough air here for the people close to it to exerience tidal shearing!
LHC at CERN?
Denver?
dorix is right:

and its only a tunnel …
“its only a tunnel”
That’s why its the FUTURE site of the World’s Largest (unintentionally) Man Made Crater.
It’s not as if they would create some black hole. At least that’s veeeeeeeeeeery unlikely.

Also watch out for those black hoes. They want to “Billie Jean” you.
A real black hole would already have gravitational effects on Earth even before it gets near the orbit of Mars

Lol 😀
Hopefully that’s oakland.
Obviously that is somewhere in China. I mean, where else would we nuke? Them chinese and their lead painted toys.
