Charlton Heston rocked in this. earlier version of the short story was with vincent price. both good renditions. i dont think a proper depiction will ever get made. but i cant wait till friday. even if its the fresh prince.
This is a pretty good movie, and I remember thinking it was fucking awesome the first time I saw it, but, frankly, the last twenty minutes are crap:
*SPOILER*
Suddenly all the mutants transform from desperate fanatics to zombies. First off, why didn’t they act like that all the time? And why didn’t the boss ever act like that? It was a stupid, half-ass ending meant to drive along the plot, but it ruined the cynical cynicism that makes this genre so charming.
All in all, pretty good, but Heston has done waaaay better movies.
Damn dirty apes?
