I’m sure it will be awesome because The Young Indiana Jones movies proved that George Lucas still has TONS of good ideas.
And Harrison Ford has been in a bunch of kick ass action movies since the early 90’s.
And Spielberg hasn’t been slipping at all with classics like AI, The Terminal and War of the Worlds.

I really do hope thats sarcasm i am sensing, because if it isn’t then i can’t really agree with you on any of that. Especially with those 3 Spielberg movies because each one sucks more balls than the last in my opinion.
Hmmmm… Retirement Kommunity of the Crystal Skull… yeah… I will wait for the torrent.
BTW… am I the only one who sees this writers strike as a blessing? You know, a chance to pull the lever and flush a whole bowl full of writers that have not really earned their wage?
I have seen so many major movies with pathetic scripts in the last few years that I actually no longer care about what is being released.
The good news is that movies are driving me back to reading books.
I wasn’t aware Lucas ever had ideas, except possibly the Death Star (which is pretty fucking stupid if you think about it), and naming the hero ‘Luke’, after himself, pathetically.
The first Star Wars movie was taken, pretty much, entirely from an only Samurai movie called ‘Hidden Fortress’, sans Deathstar, Luke and Chewy. The second movie he thought would be a failure and didn’t touch in lieu of managing the financial side of Lucas arts. He did have a say in the third movie, but it was mainly saying which of the more talented people he would hire to make it. I think it’s likely that Indiana Jones was mainly Spielberg’s project, seeing as it’s good. Asside from that, what have you got? Happy Days: The Movie? Howard the Duck? “What have I done?”?
I think Spielberg’s got it in him. I just hope Lucas doesn’t ruin this one. Think I’ll wait to hear before I buy the ticket.
Indiana Jones was based on old adventure movies and serieses, so not that original. And half of the final movie was invented at the spot. Lucas maybe had good ideas, but alone, he can’t do mutch.
read the Dune series. Herbert’s son found an assload of material in a safety deposit box & finished that fucked up cliffhanger ending in Chapterhouse:Dune.
I’m there.
I’m optimistic.
I’m there and optimistic.
I came.

‘crack a book’, as reboot puts it.
i think the only reason im going to go see it is because they are using actual stunt men instead of CG animation
