Wait, XP HAS a firewall?
LOL, yes, I know it does.
I dont use it. The majority of people do, so hackers obviously attack the majority, so I chose not to be a part of the majority. (That sounds like the apple mobs idea to windows.)

I think you’re missing the point. The people who are getting around firewalls aren’t your average users. They’re usually hackers. And they usually know exactly what to do to get around a firewall. Windows has always been full of large, gaping, constantly exploited security holes. It’s a combination of there being fundamental flaws in the way the kernel is designed and the fact that it is a large attractive target…
the picture is acurate about XP and vista pretty much is the same thing but with 2 security guards.. it would go something like this..
you walk up to the door. guard1:halt! are you the owner of this computer? you:yes. guard1:i dont believe you! guard2:yea! we dont believe you!
you:ok one second let me grab my indentification. *turns around and you hear scissors writing and taping noises* you:here you go. *hands paper card that says “owner” over to guard1″ guard1:ok go on through. *you grab the handle on the door* guard2:are you sure you want to do that? you: yes.
*you pull* guard1:you are about to access your computer, accept or deny? you: accept. *you open the door* guard2: you are about to about to leave us. accept or deny? you:ACCEPT FOR FUCKSSAKE!
Windows XP, with firewall! Just as easy to sidestep as the ads suggest!
LOL And of course, Vista has a white picket fence attached to a great big steel front door with a gazillion locks… and like a million security guards…
This isn’t a very good anology or w/e.
You have to learn a lot to get passed a fire wall.
