I still say “boo”! Both designs are too sterile and are trying too hard. I mean really, are those buildings going to fit with the rest of the skyline? No. And if you’re thinking “Well, that’s the point”, then you know why I say they’re trying too hard. You can’t put super-sleek, sexy, futuristic skyscrapers in NYC; it detracts from the old world class and history of the rest of the buildings and the city in general. I still say the best tribute to the people who loved those towers and worked in them every day, not to mention an ultimate symbol of defiance against those that destroyed them, would be to rebuild the twin towers exactly as they were.
