You want to know about voting.
I’m here to tell you about voting.
Imagine you’r elocked in a huge underground nightclub filled with sinners, whores, freaks and unnameable things that rape pit bulls for fun.
And you aint’ allowed out until you all vote on what you’re going to do tonight.
You like to put your feet up and watch “republican party reservation.”
They like to have sex with normal people using knives, guns, and brand new sexual organs that you did not know existed.
So you vote for television, and everyone else, as far as your eye can see, votes to fuck you with switchblades.
That’s voting.
You’re welcome.

You want to know about bullshit analogies.
I’m here to tell you about bullshit analogies.
Imagine you’re locked in a huge contrived situation that is completely divorced from reality.
And there’s an external force that goes completely unexamined because if you actually questioned it the entire scenario would be meaningless.
You like to look at funny pictures of cats while your code compiles.
They like to have act tough and come up with intellectually vacuous statements about the nature of the world.
So you take it easy while they work themselves into a frenzy over pointless dystopian views while being too pansy to actually do anything about it.
That’s bullshit analogies.
You’re welcome.
Phail.
Not Epic phail, just regular, ho-hum, run of the mill “phail”.
Thanks for the feedback, Kaze.
So negative? Great comic, great analogy rant.
Gonna buy that entire series this fall i think 🙂
Would have been better if they’d used “democracy” instead of “voting” but the Principle’s the same and to be fair Spider Jerusalem raises a good argument, direct democrac fails because the will of the majority results in a failure to protect the interests of the minority.
I liked it reboot, because that comic is just stupid. I get the feeling I’m missing something, though.
To be more specific, the problem with his analogy is that you are not “locked in”. If America gets too bad, the smart people will leave. Without smart people around, it will take about twenty years to become a crap weak country. Then other countries will start to run it until they can get their stuff back together. Same thing happened to the Ottoman Empire, the Germans and the Soviets in the twentieth century. Its the cycle of history, but it doesn’t mean that democracy or voting don’t work.
