Oh come now, if their world/genre is just about the same thing, how can they not clash? That’s like trying to get onto painters for eventually two separate artists drawing the same thing.
You should take a look at the SC2 game play video and note the IDENTICAL jump pack troopers that were originally conceived 20 years ago by games workshop.
No I will not “Come on now.” They could have AT THE VERY LEAST added another engine on the jump pack or taken one away.
That fact alone proves it is simply unoriginal… not an eventuality.
And I would retort with the fact that both images have such a level of precision in design, that while they are similar, they both have a high level of distinction between the two.
While overall they do look similar, there are several small differences between them that I note (but there might also be several more, as I’d never really seen warhammer 40k other than on this site)
What I notice first, is that the warhammer seems more ‘suit of armor’-esque, while the starcraft seems more cybernetic, akin to mechwarrior, or the suits from the “Matrix trilogy.” Further followed by the storyline behind their design, as well as diagrams, and schematics of the suits, even loading protocols were written for would-be marines to tell them how to get inside of them.
Are the warhammer suits electrical at all? I mean, I really don’t know, are they? Just based off that picture, it looks like they’re just wearing some badass, heavy duty armor.

I would retort that your ignorance of the half the subject matter at hand for this discussion is appalling.
Your arguing a point without any knowledge of the Games Workshop universe.
Absolve yourself of your ignorance next time before you make base an argument off of your opinion and inaccurate observations instead of fact.
Nevertheless, the game looks awesome…the Protoss have a mothership that can make black holes. Black-friggin’-holes. You know, in case you want to send your opponent’s fleet into a vacuum of time and space. And if you don’t want to use that, go ahead and try the “planet cracker” weapon…*cream*. Took me 5 hours to download the 449 MB DivX movie, but totally worth it.
I AM MORE PLEASED THAN A MASTURBATING KITTEN.
www.starcraft2.com
only took 10 years
Here’s hoping it’s more than just a graphical update with a few more units….
Took too long tbh
Do you suppose space marines ever get itchy underneath their armour, and they’re all like “ahh I’m itchy, but unable to relieve said itch!” ?
DO WANT.
I’m very pleased. I could never play WoW because I’d have to be a dwarf or a fairy like Tom Cruise did in that movie.
YUS! FINALLY!!!
Glad to see Blizzard isn’t still biting off of Games Workshop.
Wait a minute…
Those who do not want to immitate anything produce nothing.
So, you attempt to defend their blatant infringement of another’s creation, by trying to cop off another artist’s quote as your own?
The unoriginal defending the unoriginal.
Amusing.

Its just… an eventuality.
