does it matter what religion or beliefs you have? as long as you live peacefully within this world and let others, no matter their beliefs, do the same there should be no problems.
first of all: you’re a complete jackass
second of all: dont ever associate an atheist to a Muslim or other religious fantic, thats called redundant and has nothing to do with religion since atheism is the absence of religious belief.
third and finally: please do us all a favor and wrap a belt around your neck and masturbate feverishly and contineously tightening the belt until you finally just die.
In regards to the Original picture, it seems that this is a problem that is rampant in christianity as well. For example the classic example of circular reasoning in christianity where they use the ” The bible is the word of god, therefore it is infallible, and we know this because the bible tells us so, and the bible is infallible because it tells us so.” strain of logic. But here is the thing most christians do not realize.NOWHERE in the Bible does it claim to be God’s word. And NOWHERE in the Bible does it claim to be infallible. One thing Christians don’t realize and never think about is that God himself never actually told them directly that the Bible was his word. Fallible imperfect human beings did!
Karl Marx said that religion was the opiate of the masses.Well,he did get that much right.But frankly,Islam seems to be the crack.I can recall statements from Muslims over 30 years ago that were so virulent,so strident that I was shocked.I had never heard anything remotely like it before.The epitome of hate speech.And I`ve heard similar from numerous Muslims since then.It was only after 9/11 that this rhetoric was toned down.With that sort of radical thought constantly reiterated no wonder cooler heads tend not to prevail.(And yes,I do understand that there are people like that in all faiths.)
yes lotuseater, but there are faiths that are different. For Mormons, please direct all questions to the Prophet, and for Catholics, ask the Pope: He’s infallible. One of the tenets of Sunism is that every so often, the Judges gotta get together and reinterpret the Koran.
Well you are absolutely right belbo. The reason i consider myself to be more jewish than christian is because the jews encourage the questioning of god and the Torah.

All the things that modern people consider tasteless concerning discrimination, brutality and hypocrisy that can be found in the Koran, can also be found in the mistranslated Bible. Since we know that there kind Christians, and that there are kind Muslims, that means that any extremists in either group are so because of their environment and specific people teaching them that.
There are over 1 billion Muslims on this planet, if they really were all brutal terrorists, there would be wars all over the world. This is not the case. In the last decades, the most people to die because of war were Muslims and Africans, there are undeniable conflicts but they don’t have any power. If they did, less of them would die, and more of them would kill others.
Some interesting things to note, according to the Koran it is forbidden to try to convert anyone to be a Muslim, and one of the first determinists, a great philosopher was a Muslim too, his name was Al Ghazali.
I really reaaaaaallllllly doubt that there is a god. Extremely improbable to the point of damn near impossible, so its easier to just say there isn’t one. Not a tiny dot of evidence, even where there should be.
Are you also bothered by people that say that fairies don’t exist?
Well i don’t think the problem is so much the muslims themselves as it is corrupt governments using the religion to justify their insanity. Think of what we were seeing with the evangelical right. It hasn’t been until fairly recently that we did away with faith based legislations. That’s not to say their aren’t still some theocratic hurdles we need to overcome in this country (THE USA) but things were nowhere near as bad as they were in say AfGhanistan or other nations that operate under Sharia Law.
my biggest problem is with atheists, who have some supplicants who literally believe that there is no god
A glass of bacon.
@natedog
I’m hesitant to start another definition debate war, but there is no way you are using “supplicants” correctly in that sentence.
Adherents would be a better choice than supplicants.

This will not appear because Tiki is a nayzee.
@natedog
What a ridiculous statement.

Ugh christ here we go with the half assed “LOL WE HAVE NO BELIEFZ” Argument.
i’m an aatheist. I don’t believe that people cannot have religious beliefs.
